The operational structure for the AOPSI Redesign shows how leadership, advisory bodies, and working groups collaborate to guide the project.
At the centre is the AOPSI Redesign Steering Committee, which provides overall direction and decision-making. It is supported by three core partners—MCFD, OCOW, and FNLC—whose leadership connects upward to Indigenous Child and Family Services Directors, Title and Rights Holders, and MCFD executives.
Advisory input is integrated through the Knowledge Keepers Advisory Council and the Young Leaders Council, ensuring cultural guidance and youth perspectives are embedded throughout the work. A dedicated AOPSI Secretariat supports coordination, logistics, and administration.
Below the Steering Committee, a Tripartite Collaboration Table translates direction into action by coordinating multiple working groups (e.g., governance, fiscal, operations, practice). These groups carry out the detailed work of the redesign, with flexibility to adapt based on priorities.
Overall, the structure emphasizes shared governance, Indigenous leadership, and collaborative implementation across partners.
Supports steering committee members, develops materials and documents, facilitates research and engagement needs, provides analysis, and drafts recommendations for Steering Committee approval based on working group expertise.
